TickerTic ("we", "our", "the app") is a market data and financial news application for Indian stock markets. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.
Account information: If you sign in with Google, we store your email address and display name to identify your account. You may also use the app without signing in (guest mode), in which case no personal information is collected.
Watchlist and preferences: We store the stocks, indices, and instruments you add to your watchlist, your alert preferences, and notification settings. For guest users, this data is stored locally on your device only.
Device information: We generate a random device identifier (UUID) to register your device for push notifications. We also collect your FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) token to deliver notifications.
Usage data: We do not collect analytics, browsing history, or usage patterns.
We use your data solely to provide app functionality: displaying your watchlist, sending price alerts and news notifications you have opted into, and syncing your preferences across sessions. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond core app functionality.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. We use the following services to operate the app:
Firebase (Google): Authentication (Google Sign-In) and push notifications (FCM). Governed by Google's privacy policy.
Supabase: Database hosting for account data, watchlists, and preferences. Data is stored securely with encryption at rest.
All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Database access is restricted and requires authentication.
Your data is retained as long as you use the app. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by submitting a request through the app or by contacting us. Deletion requests are processed within 7 business days.
TickerTic is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
